Common Questions
How do drivers access my hyve locker?
hyve users generate a 4-digit PIN in the hyve app that is shared with drivers. Upon arrival, drivers enter this PIN, make the delivery or pick up the return, and you are notified in real time on your hyve app.
Who picks up the package?
A vetted local courier partner, operating under hyve’s fleet coordination. Every pickup is tracked end-to-end in the hyve app.
Do I have to print labels?
No. hyve Smart Return labels are always free for subscribers — we ship them to you. You pair a PDF of your shipping label to the QR code on a sticker. We print the shipping label for you and pass it off to the carrier.
Does my locker handle deliveries too?
Absolutely! Generate a 4-digit PIN for each carrier in your hyve app (UPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc.), save this down to your respective carrier account and boom -- deliveries are now made into your hyve.
What does the 12-month Returns service actually cost?
$16.67/mo when paid annually ($200 up front) or $19.99/mo paid monthly. The locker itself — normally $149 — is free when you sign up.
What if I change my mind? Can I return the hyve?
Yes — you have 90 days from delivery to return your hyve for a full refund. After that, you’re signed up for the full 12-month Returns plan.
What happens after the 12 months are up?
You keep the locker — it’s yours. You can stay on the Returns plan, or downgrade to a plan that doesn’t include pickup service. Either way, the hyve stays on your porch.
When will I get my refund?
hyve runs a fixed pickup route through your ZIP twice a month (for example, the 1st and 3rd Friday) — your route day is shown in the hyve app. Once we pick up your return, the refund timing is set by the retailer and carrier for that specific return, not hyve. We hand it off; they process it.
Which ZIPs qualify?
The pilot is live in 15 ZIPs across West LA and the Conejo Valley: 90049, 90401, 90402, 90403, 90404, 90272, 90025, 90024, 90067, 90077, 90212, 91361, 91362, 91301, 91377. Not your ZIP? Join the waitlist and we’ll email when we expand.
