What's the difference between Essentials and Returns?
Both tiers give you multi-PIN, full activity logs, and real-time notifications. Essentials lets you book return pickups yourself through an Uber Courier integration right in the hyve app — great if you do occasional returns. Returns swaps the DIY step for an automatic bi-weekly pickup by a hyve driver, plus return labels generated in-app and drop-off at every carrier handled by us.
What happens if hyve Returns isn't live in my ZIP yet?
Start with Plus. The moment hyve Returns launches in your neighborhood, we'll notify you and auto-upgrade you at the promotional rate — no new hardware, no new account.
How does hyve know it's me and not a stranger?
Every 4-digit PIN is single-use, tied to a specific carrier, and expires after use. You control when and where PINs are generated from the hyve app. Even if a PIN leaked, it only works once — and you'd see it used in real time.
Can I switch tiers or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription from the hyve app — no phone calls, no retention scripts. The hardware is yours. The Free tier is always there to fall back to.
Does it work with Amazon? Really?
Yes — every carrier. Amazon, USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, DoorDash, Instacart. Anywhere that has a 'delivery instructions' field, your PIN goes in. Drivers already enter gate codes and apartment buzzers; this is the same motion.
